Tony DiFruscio has a long history of transforming undervalued properties into treasured and valued development sites. An accomplished entrepreneur with decades of experience in property development, Tony holds a diploma from Niagara College, a Bachelor of Science degree from Niagara University, and a Masters’ of Science from McMaster University. Tony has been described as a true family man, one who puts his family before himself. This trait naturally extends to St. Elizabeth Village, as residents would testify that he places their needs and comfort in first-priority. Tony’s creative thinking, and his desire to challenge the norms and change the culture of ‘retirement’ communities, have been the founding principles behind the redevelopment of St. Elizabeth Village.
Robert Baiocco holds a Bachelor of Business Administration degree and has over 20 years of experience in all aspects of land development and construction. As an accomplished entrepreneur, his skills in transforming properties through the complete development cycle are evident in his portfolio of successful projects. Rob is known as the ‘numbers’ guy, and with his impressive knowledge of the construction industry, he brings a realism and common-sense approach to the redevelopment of St. Elizabeth Village. As a pioneer in both the development and property management of more than 75 Market Value Life Lease projects in Ontario (representing over 5,000 units), Gary Zock is considered the leading industry expert in the Life Lease field. Mr. Zock has consulted and advised many government agencies including the Ministry of Municipal Affairs and Housing, Canada Mortgage and Housing Corporation, and Municipal Property Assessment Corporation. He brings 30 plus years of experience in this very specialized area and is a great asset as the Project Manager for St. Elizabeth Village.
The design team handling the master plan for St. Elizabeth Village is better known for roller-coasters and waterslides than shuffleboard courts. Toronto-based Forrec has designed theme parks around the world including Universal Studios Florida and Canada’s Wonderland. Their design for The Villages in central Florida, three themed retirement communities inspired by small-town U.S.A., was perfectly aligned with ZEST’s vision for St. Elizabeth Village. Here Forrec is creating the first-of-its-kind 55+ ZEST community in Canada.
